If a muffin contains less sodium but no one can taste the difference - will you miss it?

Last fall, the proposed tax on sugary snacks was all the talk in New York. Now, New York City’s Health Department has set its sights on salt, cracking down on restaurants and food manufacturers in an effort to reduce heart disease, stroke and other health risks associated with sodium intake.

How much salt are you eating a day? Although you should only consume 1,500 to 2,300 milligrams a day according to the CDC, the average American adult consumes about 3,400 milligrams.

While other muffins can pack up to 236 mg of sodium per 2 oz. serving, Vitalicious has worked very hard to deliver delicious products and manage to keep sodium content to a minimum. All Vitalicious products – VitaTops, VitaMuffins, VitaBrownies, and VitaCakes – are low in sodium (140 mg or less per 2 oz. serving) but pack in the flavor that keeps cravings at bay.
